Try These St. Paddy’s Recipes to Bring the Luck o’ the Irish to Your Bar

With March 17 just around the corner, we’re getting things in order over here at Jevo HQ. We’re preparing to ship extra cases of our green flavor pods (AppleTINI and Margarita Limeville), as well as Plain Jane, which is the star of our St. Patrick’s Day lineup. Plain Jane is our “un-flavor pod and keeps the focus on classic Irish ingredients like bourbon and stout.

Speaking of ingredients, see the bottom of this post for three items you shouldn’t pour into Jevo when coming up with your own recipes for St. Patrick’s Day or otherwise.

Shamrock

What you’ll need:
  • 10oz Pinnacle® Whipped® Vodka
  • AppleTINI flavor pod
How to make it:

Pour the vodka into Jevo’s reservoir, pop in an AppleTINI flavor pod, insert a loaded prep tray, and press Go. When Jevo is done preparing shots, cover the tray and place it in the fridge until the shots are set.

Paddy’s Shot

What you’ll need:
  • 10oz Jim Beam® Bourbon
  • 10oz stout
  • Plain Jane flavor pod
  • Irish cream liqueur
How to make it:

Pour the bourbon and stout into Jevo’s reservoir, pop in a Plain Jane flavor pod, insert a loaded prep tray, select the Craft setting (since this recipe contains 20oz total liquid) and press Go. When Jevo is done preparing shots, cover the tray and place it in the fridge until the shots are set.

Note: Irish cream should never go in Jevo. See the bottom of this post for more details.

Irish Coffee

What you’ll need:
  • 5oz Jim Beam® Bourbon
  • 3oz unsweetened cold-brew coffee
  • 2oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • Plain Jane flavor pod
  • whipped cream (optional)
  • green sanding sugar (optional)
How to make it:

Pour the bourbon, coffee, and syrup into Jevo’s reservoir, pop in a Plain Jane flavor pod, insert a loaded prep tray, and press Go. When Jevo is done preparing shots, cover the tray and place it in the fridge until the shots are set. Just before serving, top with whipped cream and green sanding sugar.

Lucky Charm

What you’ll need:
  • 8oz Jim Beam® Bourbon
  • 2oz agave syrup or simple syrup
  • Birthday Cake flavor pod
  • green food coloring
How to make it:

Pour the bourbon and syrup into Jevo’s reservoir, pop in a Birthday Cake flavor pod, insert a loaded prep tray, and press Go. When Jevo is done preparing shots, add a drop of green food coloring into each cup and stir gently. Cover the tray and place it in the fridge until the shots are set.

Jevo is a great tool for developing recipe creations that are authentic to your bar menu. With that in mind, there are a few ingredients that may cause problems with Jevo due to its narrow tubes. Those inadvisable ingredients are:

  • Irish cream (contains dairy, could clog Jevo’s filter)
  • Gold-flake cinnamon liqueur (contains solids, could clog Jevo’s filter)
  • Mint or menthol-flavored ingredients (makes your next few shots taste minty too!)
