Here’s how to make Jevo shots for Shark Week
Whether or not you’re a nature documentary aficionado, you’ve likely heard of Discovery’s Shark Week. This time every year, the network features special coverage of one of nature’s most fearsome predators.
Always on the ball, Delish shared a recipe for “Shark Attack” shots including a gummy shark and some gruesome “blood.”
We’ve adapted the recipe, since Jevo shots set more quickly than other gelatin brands. Use your Craft Shots setting, since this recipe uses 20 ounces of added ingredients.
Shark Attack Jevo Shots
What you’ll need
- 10oz Cruzan® Citrus Rum
- 2oz blue curaçao
- 8oz water
- Plain Jane flavor pod
- 20 gummy sharks
How to make them
Pour the rum, curaçao, and water into Jevo’s reservoir, pop in the Plain Jane flavor pod, insert a loaded prep tray, select the Craft setting, and press Go. When Jevo is done preparing shots, cover the tray and place it in the fridge for 10 minutes*. Then add one drop of red food coloring into each cup and use a toothpick to swirl gently. Place the lid back on the tray and refrigerate until set.
*If you skip this step, the food coloring will dye the entire shot. If you wait too long, the “blood” won’t spread.
